Why do so many hate the truth?

Christianity is about love. God is love and He loves all creation. That is true. However, to fully receive that love we must come to Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins. We must be willing to confess our sins (all the things we have done in disobedience to God) and to receive His forgiveness. We need to repent, to turn from living for self and to turn to living for Jesus. It seems like there are increasingly more “celebrity” preachers who want to skip the part about “sin”. They just want to talk about how God loves everyone. Yes, He does love everyone but our sin separates us from Him until we allow the blood of Jesus to cover it. Our sin has to be dealt with.

When we come to Him in faith and confess our sins, believing He rose from the dead, then he washes all our sins away. Anyone who claims they are not a sinner is deceived and does not know the truth. Read First John chaper one verse eight. we were without sin, we wouldn’t even need God! Why would perfect people need a Savior? We need a Savior because we are drowning. We are about to go down for the last time. We have no power over our own sin. No matter how much a person might want to always do and say the loving thing, it can’t be done in our own strength. Only Jesus can rescue us and help us to live for Him.

Praise God He does rescue all believe and call on Him in faith! So, why do so many hate Christians who are willing to speak the truth about Jesus? Jesus said, “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” John 3:19-21 (Read 16-21)
