I Trust You

Father, Thank You for Your love! Your presence means everything to me! Oh,God,I owe everything to You. You are the good in me. You are the breath in my lungs. You are the light in my soul. I trust myself to You,Lord.

I trust You with all my past, my mistakes, my failures, all the good, all the bad, the ups and downs, highs and lows. 

I trust You with my now. This moment, the next step. The thoughts I have right now. I trust You with tomorrow, next week, next year. 

I trust You to give me exactly the number of years I need on this earth, the number You want me to have.

I trust You with eternity. I know I’ll be with You forever by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

I trust You with all the known, the unknowns, the mysteries, unanswered questions, weighty truth, the reality of suffering, with the moments when breathtaking joy causes the soul to ache, and all the dreams and hopes of my heart.

I trust You with all those I love.

I trust You with me

What Does God Want?

God wants my heart, my affection, my delight most of all. Does He want my will? Yes. Does He want me to obey His word? Sure. Actions matter, but what He wants most is my heart’s affection. He wants me to desire unity with Him most of all. That I long for His presence. 

Living the Christian life isn’t about seeking His blessings or answered prayer for protection, healing, and needs provided. Although we can ask for all those things. Above all, He wants me to desire Him. To long for relationship and fellowship with Him because I love Him.

If I only seek what I want from Him such as peace, health, happiness, freedom from pain, and comfort so I can then go my merry way and do what I want, that’s not following Jesus or loving God. Living that way is loving self.

Do I desire Him above all? Do I simply want HIs love and presence?

Loving God is everything. he doesn’t want His children to force themselves to obey or obey begrudgingly in order to get what they want. He wants His children to love Him wholeheartedly. Then obedience comes naturally from a loving heart.

I do want You, Lord! If I could have everything the way I wanted it to be but didn’t have You, it would be nothing. You are my salvation, my Rock, my Fortress. With You, I have everything I need. I yield my heart to You, all my longings, all I am. Please let Your will be done concerning me. I trust You with my life.
