The Throne of Grace

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (ESV)

The writer of Hebrews is teaching us to come to God boldly and with confidence because we come to a throne of grace not judgment. Because of Jesus, our great High Priest, we can come directly to God and draw near. And when we do we receive mercy and grace that helps us in our need.

Praise God! He gives us grace on grace. We come to a throne of grace to find grace. Without grace we would all be hopelessly lost. I can be bold coming to Him because when I go to Him, I will receive mercy (forgiveness and pardon I don’t deserve) and grace (blessing I didn’t earn). In my time of need, He is always there. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, He made it possible to come to God once we have believed in Him.

Thank you Jesus! Thank you for making it possible for me to come right to the throne of my Father. Thank you for giving me mercy and grace. Help me to draw near with confidence.

We come to a throne of grace,
not to a throne of judgment,
not to a throne of condemnation.
We come to a throne of forgiveness
to a throne of love
to a throne of mercy.

We come to a throne of grace.
Accepted and loved,
pardoned and set free.
We come boldly, freely,
with confidence we will be heard,
received and loved.

Thank you Jesus!

Do you believe in Jesus?
