Loving With All

SOAP

S (scripture)  – “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27

O (observation)  – Love God with:

  • All your feelings
  • All your actions
  • All your thoughts
  • With all of the real you.

And love whoever is nearby you the way you love yourself. Meaning watch out for their feelings, needs and comfort. Notice them, care about hem, listen to them and try to meet their needs.

A  (application) – Today, live in the continual awareness of the presence of God so that every thought and action matters. Notice whoever is near me and see them as I see myself, as equally important.

P (prayer)  – Father, I can’t do that in my strength. I am so weak, so incapable of really loving others the way you do. I confess that I tend to ignore people I don’t know. I know that does not please you. Please help me change. Help me see whoever is near me as being equally important as I am. Help me see every person as an opportunity to love you with all my being. Only in your strength and power. Thank you Lord.
