While doing a Bible study by Cindi Wood (Victoriously Frazzled), there was a section that focused on Psalm 91:1, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty.” The secret place, sheltered by God, that is where I want to be. I think the only one who can find that place is the one who was fully placed their faith in Jesus Christ. He is the one who opens the door. The secret place is where we are when we place our innermost being in His hands, when our thoughts are totally focused on Almighty God.
Psalm 27:5 says, “For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.” That is a promise for His people when they are in trouble. He will hide us in His secret place. In His presence, in His love. Psalm 31:20 says, “In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.” When we feel we are under attack, He will hide us when we run to Him. Matthew 6:6 says, “But when you pray, go into your (most) private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.” Our Father wants that secret relationship with us. He wants our innermost thoughts to turn to Him. He wants us to run to Him for shelter. Seek Him, He is there. That is where I find my refuge. I love to worship Him in the secret place. That is where I feel His love. Praise His holy name!
